theme song

I tried to attach this to my profile as an audio clip. I wasn't successful--perhaps the file was too large.

Good idea, we should all have a theme song. Mine would probably be something by Wierd Al.

Am I missing something? What's your theme song? You guessed mine in a comment on my blog last week...

You know AG's, either "I Will Survive" or "Barbie Girl".

You are killing me with the cheezy easy 80s, cupcake. :)

Happy Friday!

What was that? Some fucking Thompson Twins? Petshop Boys?

-a snippet of "What Have I Done To Deserve This?" by Pet Shop Boys (featuring the incomparable Dusty Springfield)

-the song is from late 1986 / early 1987 which, incidentally, was the last time in my life I was "happy" or had experienced "joy" or "hope"

[makes note to bring this up at next meeting with shrink]

If "what have I done to deserve this and wondering how I'm gonna get through" best represents a happy point in your life (when you had joy and hope). Well I would suspect your current depressed state is only a result of poor song choices.

Back in '87, I dated a guy who was dating a millionaire when I lived in London, UK when this song was released. It made us laugh and we took it as "our song".

We would tool around the city in his Alpha Romeo Spyder (actually the millionaire boyfriend's car) and eat at the trendiest restaruants (with the millionaire boyfriend's credit card). When I moved back to Canada, the last communication I got from him was this song on 45rpm in a brown paper envelope, no return address.

I like Dusty Springfield. She comes from a very tallented family- Rick, Buffalo, Bruce.

Mine would be the theme to Golden Girls.

Or maybe Little Wonder.

I have to get a petshop boys album. I love their music and that clip makes me want it even more.
