Forsythia

I took time to smell photograph the flowers this morning after my medical appointment. Forsythia gives us a jolt of electric yellow just when we really need it. It's in the same family as jasmine and lilac. Guess what else is in the same family? Olives.

location: between Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and the Vaughan Estate

Lilac is my favourite flower. Smells wonderful, looks pretty, and was always in bloom for my birthday.

You're lying. That's a creeping black-eyed nasturtium.

I've never seen such a thing.

We have red dirt and kudzu down here.

How do you know the names of all this crap? In reality, there are only three types of plants: flowers, weeds, and trees. Making further distinctions is totally gay.
