R.I.P. Bea

Beatrice Arthur, the tall, deep-voiced actress whose razor-sharp delivery of comedy lines made her a TV star in the hit shows "Maude" and "The Golden Girls" and who won a Tony Award for the musical "Mame," died Saturday. She was 86.

Rest in peace, Bea. My adoration for you will live on.

Sad. At least she lived a long and successful life. And she outlived Sophia. I imagine the Golden Girls must have been pretty competitive about who would croak first.
