I'll take it
If all I get is one afternoon with you in a public place... cold bathroom tile followed by coffee and a chat about music...
I'll take it -- knowing that you're at home, with your boyfriend, as I write this.
I'll take it -- as I look at the naked picture you sent to me years ago (when you were single) and wonder why we never got together.
I'll take it -- even though in a few days (or hours), the thought of our encounter will probably send me into a tailspin of loneliness.
Which came first: the lowered expectations, or the tendency to process tiny scraps of intimacy as bliss?

But listen darlin', don't sell yourself short.
HUGS!!! :-)
Go out this weekend, have a beer and a bj, and smile!
I don't think it's so bad to lower expectations -at least not if you do it for just long enough to raise the expectations you have of those close to you, or get enough that you're good to go for another bout of loneliness.
Remember: we're still young, free and live in a democratic society!
You'll have lots of time for sombre sentimentality when you're in your seventies.
Self esteem stays intact (somewhat... well moreso than a stolen moment with a cheating goofball), at least you'd get a cheap one night stand.
You might get media exposure if you put your web URL on there too.
